Preferred audience: pre-school to adult, but specialises in lower to middle primary
Teena Raffa-Mulligan is the author of more than a dozen children’s books and her short fiction and poetry for children and adults has been published in magazines and anthologies. Her writing life has also included a long career as a journalist and editor.
Teena is an experienced, enthusiastic presenter who enjoys sharing her passion for books and writing with all age groups, big and small. Her informal ‘Meet the Author’ talks cover the writing process from idea to publication and include a ‘story starter’ group activity designed to show how simple it can be to come up with an idea. For K-3 presentations, Teena uses finger puppets to create a story with the children, and dresses up as a character from one of her books to show that writers can go anywhere, do anything and be anyone in their imagination.
Workshops for older students and adults address a range of topics and can be tailored to suit requirements.
