Wendy is the internationally published and award-winning author of Nim’s Island, and more than thirty other books ranging from picture books to adult novels.
Wendy has presented to groups of 5 to 5000 and all ages. She also offers online and video conferencing.

Wendy offers writing workshops for ages 10 to adult where she talks about the writing process, as well as tailored school or keynote talks about specific books, page to screen, and motivational talks based on her own journey after the accident that inspired Peeling the Onion.
One of her popular talks is a ‘kid-power’ focus on the Nim’s Island’s journey – from a story that began when she was nine to internationally published books and films.
Wendy’s recent book is Dragonfly Song, a Bronze Age adventure told in a combination of verse and prose, and was published by Allen & Unwin in July 2016.
