    Brenda is an author and accredited editor. 

    Brenda is the author of numerous children’s books, ranging from picture books to middle-grade titles. The first book in her junior fiction series, The Fabulous Cakes of Zinnia Jakes, was published in early 2020.

    She works as an editor at Red Paper Kite Publishing.

    Brenda presents author talks and writing workshops on a range of topics, including: getting ideas; the writing process; editing; characterisation; plotting; using humour; and writing non-fiction. As a former primary school teacher, she is able to focus on aspects of the Australian Curriculum if required.
