Karen presents interactive pantomimes in costume, motivational talks and engaging writing workshops, empowering kids to live STRONG. As a survivor of workplace bullying, she’s now a champion of bully prevention, resilience strategies, self-care and coping skills. Karen has presented at the Brisbane Convention Centre, teacher’s conferences, schools, libraries, festivals and corporate workplaces.
Her acclaimed children’s novel series Song Bird: Superhero, The Battle of the Bug World, Rainforest Rescue, Great Barrier Reef Rescue and books STOP the Bully, Bailey Beats the Blah, Harry Helps Grandpa Remember and The Super Space Kids series share powerful messages on bully prevention, resilience, teamwork, friendship or environment.
Whether in costume or business attire, Karen tailors her talks to specific needs. She’s judged writing competitions, coordinated a writer’s collective, organized a writer’s festival and presented Book Marketing Masterclasses. She appears on radio and TV addressing bully prevention strategies, human resilience, and eco issues.
