Maree is an energetic inspirational speaker. She writes on history, art and design for adults and for children.
Her childrens’ books explore creative concepts like art, architecture and typography. Spellbound was awarded Winner of the Bologna Ragazzi Special Mention Prize, Azaria was awarded the Bronze Medal in the CBCA Awards and Maree’s other books have been awarded South Korea’s Nami Concours Distinction Prize and the RHSV Gold Award.
She is a three-time Gold winner in the IPPY Awards USA, the Silver for Best Illustration in Moonbeam Awards USA, and two Honorable Mentions in USA Indies Awards.

For history and story picture-books Maree looks at the book, its message, and how it is created, brings these themes to life in practical games and activities. Maree creates ingenious ways for students to participate in her workshops.

For Letter Art books, Maree explores the alphabet, letter design, the history of alphabets, and picture-making using letters. Also, alphabets in our environment, designing letters and creating alphabets of our own.
